xmas xodus

With the lack of exercise, unlack of ale and whisky, today made the next few days more appealing. As the forecast for xmas eves, day and boxing day look pretty good. I think I will be as far away from the ocean as is possible. However it will be good, and sometimes you just have to switch off, relax, feast and drink! Today was decent. The water since I last went out has got much colder, however the air temperature was quite mild and I was roasting beyond that of a turkey in my winter suit. I wore boots and they were shit, so not going to bother with them until I really have too!

Us usuals gathered at Southbourne to find 4 - 5 not so familiar faces out. There were good waves, but the wind was really quite shitty. I managed to delay getting out on the water even more because my board didn't have any footstraps or fins in, and that took a good half hour to sort, especially as there were four fins...

Which leads me onto my new Simmer Quantum Quad 95. Wow, in one word. I kind of feel, that I have been cheated before. I only had a brief go really, but it has got that pretty special feeling about it. Looking forward to getting to know it better. For now though, all the kit is packed up till the day after boxing day - then I have 1. 5 weeks of freedom. YES!

  1. It went ballistic here last night, and it was amazing !!
Tell me how the Simmer goes, I am looking at a hardcore wave quad 2012 but can't find any reviews. Do you think it will work in our crappy onshore conditions of Westward Ho ! ?

  5. Thanks Charlie! Keep it up. Going out at southbourne soon today maybe see you there. Hd I,ll write a bit more about the simmer quad soon, but the short go I have on it so far I am really impressed. It's also a light board which is important in this size.
