There was a forecast for a hoooge swell today and it apparently arrived. I arrived just after it left but still caught the tail end. These pics are a bit misleading as I wasn't really catching the really big waves, was standing inside and getting them as they reformed, and the waves were much smaller when these pics were taken than this morning, when they were enormous. It was also a bit windy for SUP perfection, and there was a lot of water moving around in the bay meaning it was hard to stay in one place. You got sucked out to sea and could only really get back in by catching a wave. Broad bench looked pretty amazing and there were a handful of surfers enjoying what I guess was the day of the year. But there seems to have been a few of them recently. Why is it you always seem to get a run of similar conditions?
